Precinct Committeemen Opportunities
Election are often won or lost at the most local levels—our own neighborhoods. Our neighborhoods and voting precincts are also where we have the most opportunity to achieve favorable outcomes. This is why it is so important that our Party has a strong network of Committeemen in the 117 precincts throughout Champaign County. Committeemen are charged with reaching out to their neighbors to inform them about our upcoming elections, our candidates, registering to vote, distributing yard signs, and ultimately encouraging voters to hit the polls on election day. You can read more about the role of a precinct committeemen by clicking here.
If you are currently a precinct committeeman who did not file petitions to be re-elected in the February primary, or you are interested in serving for the first time, Champaign County Republican Chairman Jason Barickman will make appointments following the primary. Please contact us at info@champaigncountyrepublicans.org or 217-355-7175.
You can click to view your voter registration status and precinct location through Champaign County Clerk Mark Shelden’s website. You can also view a list of precincts where Republicans have filed to serve. Even if your home precinct is already filled, you can be appointed to a neighboring precinct.
2010 is shaping up to be our opportunity to bring Republican principles back to our governments. Will you be a part of it?
