Before Republicans Can Win Elections…
We need your help to secure their places on the 2010 primary ballot! There are only a few short weeks until the filing date, and our candidates will appreciate the support. The Champaign County Republican Party does not endorse one Republican over another during the primary season. However, you are encouraged to learn more about each of the candidates and then get involved in your preferred campaign. Start by downloading the petitions listed on our petition page, and circulate them among your GOP friends and neighbors.
Some of the petitions have their own set of instructions. But here are some general rules of thumb that apply to all: 1) Signers must be 18 years of age or older, eligible to vote, and live in the district that candidate will represent, 2) Signers may only sign one petition for each candidate, 3) You must witness each signature, 4) Do not number the pages (the campaigns will do this prior to filing), 4) Do not sign the bottom of the petition until a notary public is present as a witness.
If you wish to have your petitions notarized at GOP HQ (inside the law firm of Bartell & Barickman, LLP, 2919 Crossing Court, Champaign, please stop by between 8am-5pm Monday-Friday on or before Monday, October 12th.
