County Convention Wrapup
Lots of highlights from a very productive and active 2008 Champaign County Republican Convention this evening.
Highlights:
- Congratulations to Jason Barickman, Greg Knott, Brett Penick and Lisa Mettler for each being unanimously re-elected to their positions of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary, respectively.
- The County Republican Party unanimously adopted a platform. I’ll get that posted here as soon ASAP.
- Lots of new and energetic faces in the room tonight, giving all of us some new energy.
- Varying groups of volunteers stepped forward to lead efforts on by-laws revisions, the Lincoln Day Dinner, State Convention Delegate slating, etc.
